Finally throwing out the August 4-10 2005 LACityBeat, but had to store these tips somewhere

1.) Wilton Place (till Olympic)/Arlington Ave. (till Slauson)/Van Ness (instead of Western or Normandie) to go from the Hollywood Hills to Torrance.

2.) Hauser /Martel (instead of La Brea or Fairfax).

3.) Inglewood/Centinela (instead of the 405 or Sepulveda) to go from Mar Vista to Inglewood?

4.) Palms Blvd (instead of Pico or Venice) to go from Venice to the Pico-Robertson area.

5.) 23rd/Walgrove (instead of Lincoln or Bundy/Centinela) to go north-south when you're west of the Santa Monica Airport.

6.) Buckinghamshire Road (instead of Crenshaw Blvd) to go from the Crenshaw District to mid-city.

7.) Sixth St. to go from East LA to San Vicente.

8.) Allesandro (instead of Glendale Blvd.) to go from Echo Park to the Elysian Valley.

9.) San Vicente to go from mid-city to the top of the Sunset Strip. Also, the western San Vicente to go from Brentwood to the ocean.
